Surveys
A number of natterjack toad surveys are co-ordinated in Cumbria to monitor the numbers and distribution of the species. Training is provided for anyone wishing to help with this vital work.
Practical Work
At several sites there are opportunities to get involved in practical work such as clearing scrub, digging new breeding scrapes or creating hibernation areas.

Interpretation
Guided walks to listen to calling males and other events regularly take place. There is always a need for volunteers to help the experts run these events.
